Welcome to The Sparkly Chicken!
Hello and welcome to The Sparkly Chicken! We are a small business based in Jackson Center, Ohio. Tim is the muscle that gets everything to where it needs to go and Rachel is the crazy person that named a candle business The Sparkly Chicken. We have been married since 2022 and while we are empty nesters, we are also fur parents to 1 Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, 1 tuxedo tabby cat, and 6 chickens of varying breeds. Now you are seeing where the name came from! We have chickens and Rachel loves glitter!
It all began with wanting to make our own soap, just for us to use at home in 2023. We made some great soap batches and decided we should sell it! This was the beginning of The Sparkly Chicken, I just didn’t know it quite yet!
By the end of 2023 we were making candles and wax melts in addition to bars of soap and we were booking all kinds of in person craft fairs to go to in 2024. We had so much fun going to craft fairs and meeting all kinds of new people. We learned what sells for us and what we love to make.
By the end of 2025 we have been in 4 different stores and on TikTok Shop. We can’t wait for our very own website to get up and running so we can get off to the races!
